| Have you tried to hand crank it? Just to be sure it isn't seized up? Pretty much every connector you touch under the hood will crumble to nothing. Get ready to change all of those. Mine sat inside a storage building and still had plenty of corrosion in some of the connectors. Seems like any rubber or old hose tore when removed (replaced a ton of those). Drain the gas tank and be sure to clean the tank as best you can. Greg/Seb gave me some great advice on that. I can email it to you. Did you notice any fluids dripping underneath? Mine had the sticky red PS fluid, so I changed the crush washers and rebuilt my power steering pump, Had the alternator cleaned while I was under there, just for good measure. I changed the oil and added new synthetic, as well as a little marvel mystery oil. Might want to blow out the exhaust pipes too, to be sure nothing was living in there..... Give me a shout if you need any of my experiences. My car is running like a screamer again though!
If I would have known addiction was this expensive I would have seen a shrink a long time ago. --BadZCar (FL) |
